SPOT v0.0.4

Release Notes

This release continues the recent work on SPOT scanning behavior, Ad Hoc list handling, and operator feedback on the receiver display.

Features:

  • Entering a tag number in Ad Hoc mode will add all channels corresponding to that tag. For example, if animal 489 has two transmitters, then adding 489 in Ad Hoc mode will add both. Similarly, entering 489 again will remove both.
  • The scan STOP mode is more reliable (fewer false positives). It now uses the same detector logic as is used to present pulses on the main screen. In other words, if you would see a series of pulses, the scan will stop automatically (while in STOP mode).

Changes/Refinements:

  • The startup logo screen now shows the battery percentage.
  • The main screen now shows the remaining dwell time while scanning.
  • Booting ensure the receiver is in Memory mode as long as at least one channel is defined.

Fixes and Internal Improvements:

  • Exiting a scan now restores the pre-scan state more fully, avoiding audio pops.
  • Significant refactor of SPOT code to further isolate it from the legacy code base. No external changes should be visible from this work.

Note: This is an Alpha release. Do not depend on it as your only telemetry device.
